KEY INGREDIENTS

Organic Shea Butter :-Naturally rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, this extraordinary ingredient is used extensively in Africa to protect skin and hair from harsh conditions. When combined with other emollients and fruit extracts, shea butter becomes a sublime skin saviour; a perfect emollient guaranteed to reveal soft, supple and amazingly nourished skin  

Apricot Seeds - make an excellent natural exfolient, suitable for many kinds of products, a perfect exfoliant, apricot seeds act as mechanical peelings. Dead skin cells are removed with the apricot seeds, which are super effective used in scrubs for the face and body. This form of exfoliation is considered a machanical peeling of the surface.

Olive Oil - Extra virgin olive oil is an excellent moisturiser and provides important nutrients to the skin. It also has powerful antioxidant properties, making it a natural anti-ageing ingredient.

Coconut Butter:- Coconut oil is a great emollient if the barrier function of your skin is disturbed. It's great at repairing and restoring this quickly as it is rapidly absorbed into the epidermis. Coconut oil contains Vitamin E, essential amino acids, and lauric and caprylic acid which form part of the barrier function of your skin and help maintain your skin's natural flora aka the good bugs!'

Sugar: Firstly, sugar is a ‘humectant’, meaning that it draws moisture into the skin and will help with hydration and keeping the skin moisturised. Secondly, sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid - an alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) - which rejuvenates the skin keeping it looking fresh. It also acts as an anti-aging compound which maintains the skin’s youthful beauty by balancing natural oils and allowing new skin to develop. Regular use of sugar scrubs will promote continuous skin renewal to reveal younger and healthier skin. Finally, sugar’s small particles make an excellent topical exfoliant to remove dead surface skin cells and reveal the glowing, healthy-looking skin underneath. Sugar will also help retain skin moisture, as compared to salt which can strip the skin of natural oils.

Cocoa Butter:- Cocoa Butter has been used to heal and moisturize skin that has been exposed to the elements. It also helps reduce the formation of stretch marks during pregnancy by keeping the skin supple. Cocoa Butter is one of the most stable fats known and it contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity...

NATURAL AROMAS:- a blend of natural essential oils and nature identical ingredients to mimic and naturally fragrance the characteristics of each individual body scrub.

BIOGRADABLE ECO MICA:- These lovely colours are derived from natural mica, and are a fantastic eco-friendly choice, being 100% plastic free and manufactured using earth friendly pigments not dyes.

HOW TO USE

It is recommended to remove the required amount from the jar with a dry teaspoon or spatula and place on a small plate to avoid intoducing water to the jar +(this avoids contamination). Massage a handful of bodyscrub onto dry skin. Let sit for a minute or two for complete hydration. Rinse off.

+This is an anhydrous product that does not normally need preserving – but because it is possible the contents of the jar will come into contact with water or steamy bathroom, a small amount of ecocert & cosmos approved natural preservative has been added. Caution is still needed as natural preservatives often do not inhibit microbial growth as well as synthetic counterparts. This product will keep well over a year if not contaminated.

Warning: make sure your hands are dry to apply the polish, do not add water into the jar.

Please be sure not to contaminate the contents of the jar with water during use, as this body scrub contains Botanicals that are difficult to preserve with a natural preservative once water has been introduced. Once wet, Botanicals will be a source of energy for microbial growth, known as “bug food”. Examples include fruit, botanicals, tea, lecithin, mineral water, milk of any kind, honey, hydrosols, floral waters, aloe vera, extracts, protein, clay, powders, starches etc.
